Default Is this the correct fluid?

Hi all, I found a guy locally who sells this stuff at the website below.

https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/mtf.aspx

I have read a lot of reviews from people on here praising the AMSOIL MTF so I was going to give it a try. I just wanted to make sure this is the correct fluid for the s2000. It says it is 5w30, and i am not sure if that was the correct weight or not. I haven't been able to find anything on it's specific weight. Mainly I was wondering if this is the stuff everyone praises and holds in such high regard and if it is safe to use. Thanks in advance for your help. I know we get a lot of fluid related questions so i appreciate the help.

AMSOIL MTF has worked well for many on this board. I currently have a 60/40 mix of MTF and MTG in my car and I'm not all that impressed. I'll be switching back to the new Honda MTF soon. I think it's the best option for my car right now. But like all the others, it just doesn't seem to last very long. It provides the smoothest shifting though.

Hmmm, interesting. I have been changing my tranny fluid every other oil change so longevity really hasnt been an issue for me with anything I have used. I guess it probally isnt necessary, but with the autocross and stuff I do, i figure it doesnt hurt. Mainly I am going with this stuff this time around because I wanted to compare it first hand to the Honda MTF ver. 2 that I am currently running. I am just wanting to check to make sure it is the correct fluid before I do so. Thanks again.

I'm currently using a 70% Amsoil MTF, 30% Honda MTF mix and it works better than anything I've used to date.

I have an '04 transmission in my '03.

Amsoil MTF works quite well, but I would occasionally get a 1-2 grind at redline (1 in 1,500 - 2,000 miles or so). That may be operator error though.
The Honda MTF definitely seems to break down in less than 3,000 miles, and is very notchy when the transmission is cold - and I would get the cold 2nd gear "crunch" as well.

However, the 70/30 mix is working out with absolutely no problems. I don't have to do the cold transmission 1-2 double clutch any longer (although it's almost natural at this point). Smoothest shifting to date.

That's the stuff. It is listed as a direct replacement for Honda MTF.
Interesting note: it's also a direct replacement for GMSMFM.
