Default CR Cluster "Power Indicator"

So I noticed recently that my '09s cluster has a cutout for a light at the same location as the power indicator on the CR clusters... does anybody know if this light can be activated somehow to work on a non-CR? Could I replace the internals of my cluster with a CR version to make it work?

If anybody with a CR could post up a pic of their cluster with the indicator off so I can compare to mine that would be great .

Are you sure? There's a different cutout (light sensor) at the bottom of AP2v2's tach. The "power indicator" is up by the 8k mark on the tach on the CR.

There was a thread a few months back where someone had a similar question and confused the light sensor with the "power indicator" location.

I typed "power indicator" in the SEARCH and got this as the first result.

That's weird, I wonder why they changed it. I like the way it is on my 07 better, with the redline area between 8 and 9 flashing.

It still flashes when you hit redline. He short shifts in the video.

The PPI flashes when you get into VTEC and you're WOT.

I'm sure, and my car is an '09 AP2v3. I know the light sensor you are talking about, the one that blinks red if you have the Honda alarm installed right?

My car has a cutout in that exact location, it just doesn't light up. I guess what I'm wondering is if there is actually a light installed behind there and it just isn't programmed to work in the non-CRs?

Given that Honda completely DELETED wiring for non-esspentials on the CRs, I'd be surprised if they included wiring for the light and didn't utilize it.

Honda is, after all, a company of efficiency.
