Default Cracked AC Condenser

On my way to work yesterday my AC blew nice cold air. Leaving work to get a haircut it blew nice cold air. 20 minutes later, after my haircut, it only blew warm air. Had my mechanic look at the AC today and the condenser is cracked all the way from top to bottom. He asked if I had run into anything with the front end as that is how he figured I could have possibly caused that damage. Of course I had not and the front bumper and cover under the car proves this. Anyway, the repairs are $700 and thank goodness I purchased a warranty on my car when I bought it back in March.

So how the hell did this happen? Maybe the previous owner ran into something and caused a mild crack in the condenser which finally weakened to the point of busting. I am really just ranting at this point...my old RSX's compressor broke back in the day and that cost a fortune (with no warranty). I have bad luck with car ACs...and it's well over 100 degrees out today.

Tough luck man, I got to replace mine last week as it got damaged with corrosion caused by snow and it was literally falling apart, thankfully i found a shop that works on car AC's and they did all the work for €200
