I've been using Craftsman for all my life, and i love them. As to the 6 point vs 12 point, most of their sets in the higher numbers come with both for each size.
And on a side note, I've cracked Husky sockets and bent one of the ratchets before doing an engine swap...so I'm kinda hesistant on Husky products now....
plus craftsman has a lifetime warranty!

craftsman, snap-on, husky, mac, maco all have lifetime warranties.
i USED to be a craftsman guy untill recently. the term "they dont make them like they used to" applies here. older craftsman tools were good. rarely broke. nowadays seems like they are as good(or crappy) as pep boys tools. i heard a differrent company makes them now.

Actually, this 155 piece Craftsman set that's on sale for $50 off is a pretty decent kit for under a $100:

GO CRAFTSMAN
Before you dismiss all the SAE sockets that come in these kits, realize that there are some equal sizes. For ex: 13mm=1/2", 19mm=3/4". There are others, but these are the two that I remember most, esp. the 19mm since I use a 3/4" impact socket/wrench on my lug nuts..

I just bought the 263 Piece for $199... Looks pretty nice
. I didn't see the metric only one. Does it include all the plus size sockets? (20mm+)

Here's the link to the set I picked up. All metric. Wow, it's kind of pricey now.

hope this helps.
I checked out the all metric and compared it with the 263pc... I think I'm going to keep the 263, it comes with a nice molded plastic toolbox that keeps everything organized. There are plenty of metric tools in the kit (over 50% I'd say). And it has many deep sockets including two different spark plug ones ( I already have the right one for our car, so I didn't check the sizes on the ones in the kit). All in all a great combo of sockets and wrenches for the same price as the all metric one you get all the SAE stuff too

Keep in mind Sears has a new return policy and if you return tools regardless of reason (even if it broke) they now charge a 15% restocking fee.
