crank pulley install
Plenty of threads on removal but couldn't find any on an install. Do we need the 50 mm tool in order to do it?? If not what are you guys using to hold it??
i think i used the special tool to hold the pulley while i torqued the bolt but i can't remember, i'd advertise locally to see if you could borrow one, i paid $70 for mine but they've also been as low as $25 (alternate manufacturers)...

cant get the bolt loose.
The tool is a must, and so is a high quality breaker bar and arm strength

The crank bolt breakaway torque is immense. Even a large 1/2" breaker bar can snap trying to break the bolt loose.

What is this special tool that I need called? I have a family mechanic that does all my work, so he should probably already have it
I got mine off by leveraging the honda tool+breaker bar against the subframe (from below or above.. put a thick towel so you dont scratch/chip metal) and pulling the other breaker bar. This is probably isn't the best way because if you let go, or when it loosens, the force will either make the other breaker bar bounce into you or you will go flying in the direction you're pulling, possibly hitting something.
The tool can be purchased for ~50$ from napa or online or loaned from the only place I've found (in my area) O-reilly's for free( 50$ on hold till u return it).

honda crank-tool a 19?mm socket, and two huge long breaker bars. I nearly killed myself taking that bolt off.
