I just recently got my S2k and its an 04 berlina black.The car is great,but has a problem with the transmission.The car feels like it has a new clutch,but when I go to put it in 2nd gear it does nothing at all but rev up.The gear doesnt seem to work at all so I got to shift from first to third.Im bringig it to the shop next week,but does anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong with the car or why it is doing this?Thanks

 

Sadly that is a known problem with the ap2 tranny. You will need to have the tranny rebuilt or replaced with a new one. I hate to give bad news but of the few ap2 trannies I've seen rebuilt, none worked as well as new. But hopefully yours will be the exception.

yes ap1 tranny will work, i think the output flange would need to be kept from your ap2 tranny though.

lots of people have theorized that an ap1 tranny with f22 is a better combination.
