I had a "similar" rattle from under the hood.... turned out to be two loose bolts like the gold one seen in the middle of this pic.

At the bottom of this black heat shield.

with the clutch buzz noise, you don't just hear the noise but you feel the vibration through the car and the shifter. with the loose heat shield, you can hear nose but there shouldn't be any vibration.

clutch buzz is not covered under warranty.

unless you have the part and have some previous work done at the dealership it should be honored.

damn. oh well. i just got screwed because i just bought my s2000 and i could of sworn that it was just a exhaust hitting the car or heat sheild. i told my dealer to fix this though. hopefully they dont charge me.

Take a video of the noise and post it up.

Another suggestion,
Bought the car used? Could be a mis-placed oil cap sitting behind your engine ontop of the tranny. Bit*h to get it out of there. Good luck.

Unfortunately they are very hard to photograph, but you just feel along the bottom of the shield (on a cold engine of course) They are 10mm and probably the best thing to get to them with is a wrench or preferably a racheting wrench.
