Default Cruise?

First off I have searched google etc for my problem everyone who has the same problem their cruise control button lights up, but mine does not.

The cruise control has never worked since my ownership of the car. The cruise control button light does NOT turn on. My horn works fine, the clutch and brake pedal sensors are all working etc. (I fixed that problem on my last s2000.)

Anything else I can check? Would really love my CC to work considering I drive a ton on mostly empty roads.

How did you determine that the brake pedal position sensor is working?

I'm not sure about the S2000, but on my last Honda, it used separate circuits for the brake lights and cruise control.

Well the plastic thing did break and my brake lights were stuck on I fixed that problem. But the position switches shouldn't matter cause when I press the cruise control button the little light doesn't even turn on.

I'm not that knowledgeable but is there a separate fuse that may have blown?

Has the CC ever worked for you? Have you actually looked under the hood to see if the CC is still there? In the past, there have been owners who have purposely removed the CC. For what reason, I don't know. You may have bought such a car. (Just thinking out loud.)

Also....just because your CC light doesn't come on doesn't mean it's not getting power....it could be as simple as a burned out bulb in the switch....as far as why it's not working, I have no idea. I'd first start troubleshooting the harness to and from the switch. Once that checks out, I would see if the CC module is getting power, etc when the switch is depressed. The FSM has all of the troubleshooting procedures for you to narrow down your problem and to eliminate all other possible issues. If you don't have a FSM, PM me.

CC hasn't worked since i've owned the car. The CC whole harness and the module is still under the hood, could be a burnt out bulb but i've tried activating the CC at 40mph as well as 60mph and it hasn't worked. I used to have another AP1 last year so I know how to turn it on and activate it.

The CC main unit and CC button light are ganged to other circuits. Is there anything else on the car that doesn't work? Fuse #6 is for the CC main unit. It's also for several emissions control items. If any of these don't work, there would be a CEL. One thing is the "charging system light" on the dash. Does it light up when you key the ignition to ON but not start the motor?
Fuse #23 controls the CC button light but it also serves other circuits. For example, the gauge lights, heater control panel lights and licence plate lights (which need the headlight switch to at least the first position. Do those work?
Lastly, there is a defeat switch for the CC on the clutch pedal and the brake pedal but that would not explain the CC button light not working (see above). Both those switches must be pushed by each pedal when they are in the full up position. As soon as the pedal is pressed, it stops touching those switches. The switches must be in proper contact with the pedals and the switches must be able to be completely pushed in for the CC to function. The switches could be defective.
