Default Cusco Strut Bar Installed:

Probably old news, but does the Cusco Strut Bar fit on the comptech s/c + aftercooler setup? Yes it does, and it should fit without any problems with an aem cai.

Before I installed the strut bar, I took the car out for a test drive. Just so I could feel the difference w/ or w/out the STB.

Installing Strut bar
- Very easy, just remove the four bolts with a 14 mm long socket wrench.
- The Strut bar sit nice and firm, no problem with clearance issues.
- replace four bolts, cross tighten, then torque to 49nm
- Test drive car for a couple of twisties, then re-torqe four bolts back to 49 nm.

After I installed the strut bar, I didn't notice too much of a performance, seem a bit more firmer....placebo effect?
I did notice my engine being a lot louder. I don't know why. I dont' think it's rattling anywhere, but mabey the strut bar effect the way how sound bounces off under the hood. Not that it's a bad thing.

Overall, I got what I was expecting from viewing old threads. I just like how it makes my engine look complete.

Here are some pictures: Enjoy.

According to Shinji, the answer is yes. It will fit the vortech s/c. I don't see why it shouldn't because the comptech and vortech coolers are almost identical.
