Default Custom oil filter stopper

So, I have bought this oil filter stopper from a guy and eventhough he has one installed on his car, I see it too low installed compared to the ASM one for example. For my understanding, it goes besides to the triangle engraved on the chain cover and the one bolt on top of that one. Also, in the service manual I cant seem to find the torque spec for those 2 bolts Im referring to. Only the ones that use the dowels.

This is the stopper

I was like, oil filter stopper? What? Then I saw the photo, and realize its a kit to safety wire the filter.

I don't know the answers to your questions, but wanted others that read this thread to know what is being discussed.

In the service manual pretty much every regular bolt uses:

M6 = 12nm
M8 = 22nm
M10 = 44nm

Btw. Good idea to use this stopper.
I once had a little accident with an oil filter that came loose. Not cool!!

Yes those M6 bolts on the chain case should be torqued to 12Nm.

Installed it on Saturday morning. It goes one bolt lower than the ASM one.

Didnt notice that I bent the filter a little when tightening the clamp. It wasnt that much and it should help having that bend so it grabs good and tight. Filter didnt move one bit over the weekend and this car is my daily.
