Default Cutting the bump stops?

I have the KG/MM springs. Do I need to cut the bump stops? I know this would give more shock travel, but is that really a good thing?

Thanks.

when i installed my H&R sport springs I was advised by H&R NOT to cut the bump stops. I didn't cut it and have no problems. Our stock bump stops are very small.
