Default Damaged S2000 on eBay

Hi,

I've seen this S2000 on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2418133955 .
Is it someone from this board?
... and the reason I'm posting in "Under the Hood": how bad do you guys think it's damaged?
It doesn't look like it rolled over - more like it hit the tire wall or something like that?
It would be a really stoopid idea to buy a damaged car - and keep it for racing only?

Thanks,
George

Wow, I've just seen the price going up quite a bit - it's now at $9.1K.
It is becoming quickly quite expensive .

that rear is pretty heavily damaged... probably some frame damage, need to cut the trunk bottom out and reshape it, need to cut off the rear quarter panel. also that rear axle is probably gone... a generous estimate would be ~$10k damage. probably less.

looks like no engine damage, but considering its a track car, that engine has been run pretty hard. $10k + $10k to fix = $20k s2000. not bad.

just from a quick glance and a crappy picture you can tell that it is gonna need a rear quarterpanel, door, rear bumper, taillight, probaly a trunk lid, new suspension and probaly a good fraim straitening depending on how bad it was hit, new wheel and no tellin what else was messed up.... lookin at several grand to fix it and thats doin most the work yourself... just my own opinions...

I would not be too keen on buying a wrecked car!

I wonder if the right rear suspension hookup points are messed up - if so, it'll be nearly impossible to get everything aligned properly and drive like it's supposed to.
