Thumbs up Dash Board remove, HELP !

After I look @ Under The Hood Posting Guidelines, I think this is the right place for me to post this question.

I am taking my car apart to finish the roll cage install (it is a 7 point Cusco cage through dash ) and I been doing all the research on s2ki about removing the dash for the cutting. I knew this question had been asked for so many many many times already however I don't see a DIY with photo yet...which I Promise I will do a DIY post for the dash remove with photo beside my 7 point cusco cage through dash DIY.

From all the posts that other people asking were do we need to remove the steering Rack so the dash board can come out easy. Some people said yes Steering rack need to be remove and some people said no...here is the issue I am having right now

The U bucket under the steering wheel rack is holding the dash which make me can't pull the dash out...is there any way I can skip the U bucket so the dash can come out easy or I need to cut the bucket ?? or the dash board where the U Bucket is blocking??

You help is really important

Thanks

I am not sure if this will help you or not but shows how to remove parts of the dashboard. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=601913&st=0

I've never atttempted it but the shop manual says to remove the steering column, it is mainly held in place by one bolt at the base of the shaft under the dashboard (once you get all of the other parts removed from it of course). hth

Hmmm....On a Honda pilot, you have to cut that bar out of the dash to replace the cabin filter.

It is cast into the dash when manufactured to give the dash rigidity, but becomes redundant once installed in the car.

So, you MIGHT be able to just cut out that plastic bar of the dash.
