Dash lights flickering

so a flickering dash its caused by a bad alternator/rectifier, could this lead to random misfires as well?

Techinacally its still a working alternator but you will get flickering. As for the misfires ithe alternator is not even close to be a culprit of random misfires..

I was reading in the misfire troubleshoot thread and read this (quoted). So it lead me to believe that if my dash is flickering my alternator could be the issue. Ive gone through everything on that list but ive yet to check the alternator for proper amps.

Have your alternetor checked. Most mayor autoparts will do a Free test for battery and alternators. I would go with OEM alternator or at least a Japanese aftermarket replacement

Sure it could. You ECU is not getting good voltage! All of its sensors are off by at least the amount that the owner is able to see with a naked eye! The cumulative effect could be way unpredictable. He could be getting weak spark in the coil. I mean, how well a coil will fire on 11V?
