Default Daylight MOD.

Hi guys. Simple question. I'm looking to import a S2000 from the US into Canada. Is it complicated to do the modification concerning the daylight. In Canada we need to have lights "on" everytime. Thanks for your help!

I have a hansmar drl kit that runs the high beams at 40 percent that I bought from a member in the southern ontario forum, that is available if you want one - plug and play - based on the diy kit.

The parts guy at my Honda dealer also made a circuit for me with oem parts, it runs the HID headlighs 24 hours though. PM me for details if you like. My 02 is a US car that was brought into Canada. I feel safer with the DRL system, I found people were cutting me off on a regular basis when I was driving without it. Driving in Canada without DRL's is scary, particularly with a low silver coloured vehicle such as mine.

well you can use a hansmar module to turn on the highbeam lights at 40%, I bought a plug and play kit that uses the module it is wired within the engine bay. When you drive the car in daytime the highbeams run at 40 percent power, when you turn on the low beams the drl shuts off. A bit more wire to run but relatively easy to install, less wear on the low beam lights. I have a kit for sale if anyone is interested.

The device my Honda parts guy made for me is all wired under the driver side foot well, as soon as the ignition is powered it turns on the HID low beams, so you run low beams all day and night. Easy plug and play kit. It does not turn on the parking lights and doesn't dim the dashboard, but as soon as you manually turn on the lights for nightime use the parking lights turn on and the dashboard dims properly. Simple kit, puts more use on the HID lights.
