A:
Tap the oil pan

B:
Remove it first so you don't end up with metal shavings embedded (spelling??) in your pistons

C:
I have the proper tap and will be on Long Island this weekend if you're interested

Thanks a lot for all of your kind gestures! Great people on this board.

Someone from a local RX-7 tuning shop over here suggested for me to get an aluminum fitting instead and drill any hole and just weld it in. This I thought was the best idea since it elminates leak issues from the tapping. So I got an aluminum fitting and had it welded with thick and even amounts of welding. Started the car up today and I have an exhaust leak and a good bit of oil coming out from the NPT tap at the oil press. sensor on the block. But that's only because I didnt tighten the bolt because of just plain stupidity. Tomorrow I should have everything fixed up and drivable after classes and then take it to get dyno'ed on wednesday.

Once again thank you for your offers to help out...i really appreciate it!

Great, welding the fitting on is the best solution. That iron fitting that comes with the UR kit is too heavy anyways, and would probably eventually fatigue crack the side of the block. Let us know how the dyno runs go. The map that came with my kit didn't work well at all, it was way too rich - A/f ratio below 10 from 6000 rpm to redline. I'm doing a lot of data logging now with my Motec wideband, and I'll fine tune the emanage before my next dyno run. All of the us running turbos with Greddy emanage's ought to start sharing our maps.

I agree. I tried taking my car with UR turbo to a local guy who is supposed to be the best in town with Hondas and the car still doesnt drive very well. The guy said that the ECU just keeps changing up and he cant get constant resaults. With the base UR map it was running very rich and also it would run lean when I went from light throttle to full throttle quickly and I would have to wait until my A/F ratio dropped. Right now Im thinking its hopeless with the Emanage. I may have to save up for the AEM EMS.

I dont have the software for the eManage to re-program it. Not to mention any experience on how to tune it myself. Maybe I can just hang around at some shops and ask them for hours on what to do. I'll see how it goes with the e-manage....the AEM EMS is just way out of my budget. Hopefully someone on this board will figure out what to do exactly to get rid of the ECU lag that you said is present in the emanage.

Actually, mine is running fine with the emanage. It just needs a little more tuning to extract the last bit of HP. The only problem I have had is a CEL light for MAP lower than expected which kept coming on at low engine load conditions. I solved that by enriching the low end with the air/fuel map - not the injector cycle map. You should visit this chat site to bone up on the emamage: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/emanag.../1?viscount=100

I got everything bolted on and the leaky oil feed line replaced with a reinforced hose temporarily as I hunt Ultimate Racing down and have them replace the steel braided one. The fitting on one end didnt have an o-ring placed inside it when it was assembled and I had about half a quart of oil leak all over my drive-way. =/

I drove it around and slow for about 200 miles to get rid of the 89 octane gas in my car. After loading it with sunoco 94 octane fuel...I stepped on it a bit...wow...big improvement over stock.

But I noticed a pretty long lag time from when u step on the gas and when it actually starts accelerating. A half-second delay. I also noticed that once v-tec kicks in...the car goes slower? It feels like I just let go half way on the gas pedal...tomorrow I'm going to head out to the dyno after class. Should be interesting to see if the map is really screwed up or not.

I'm a bit sleepy rite now...i'll go read up on the e-Manage tomorrow =/ lots of driving for one day.

Yeah I understand the oil leak. I had a large one myself. I acidentally put the oil relocation the wrong way on the oil cooler and this is what happened when I started the car.
