Default Did I miss anything?

I recently acquired my first S2K, an original no mods 2004 with 39,000 original miles. Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 4 with approximately 1,500 miles on them and a four wheel alignment was done when these tires were mounted in 2019.

Once the car arrived, I spent a few days doing some maintenance followed by a complete top to bottom cleaning and detailing. I think I covered all of the recommended maintenance but thought it best to check here to make sure I haven’t overlooked anything.

Here’s what I’ve done so far....

Oil and Filter replaced
Trans Fluid replaced
Differential Lube replaced
Coolant replaced
Brake Fluid replaced and bled
Clutch Fluid replaced and bled
Drive belt replaced
Air Filter replaced
Cabin Filter replaced
Spark Plugs replaced
Battery replaced
Valves adjusted
Rear Axle Nuts removed and retorqued

I’ll also be replacing the TCT when the new one arrives from Billman.

Are there any additional maintenance items I should do at this point...”as long as I’m in there”?

The vtec solenoid typically leaks. If yours doesn't, still may as well replace the gasket and check the solenoid screen for debris. Timing change bolt(gold on front of head) typically leaks too. DONT back that one out all the way, just enough to see the o-ring. Again not needed if not leaking.

And subframe bolts, make sure they are to torque, they typically loosen.

Clutch free play adjustment. And throttle cable if it's cable driven.

Shifter plastics replacement & regreased for smooth shifts. As well dropping the clutch slave cylinder and polishing the end of the piston if it has a nipple and regreasing.

Make sure your PCV valve is functioning.

That's all I can think of.

Get a tube of Shinetzu and lubricate all your weatherstripping and rubber parts and verify that your soft top elastic straps are still doing their job.

Congrats on your purchase.

Just adding a couple more points on your list, well done! There are even more items coming, we obviously forgot a few things.

Vtec screen gasket, between head and Vtec valve, available via Honda.

UPPER Vtec gasket (inside the top of the valve itself) available through KRAKEN. Have not heard any negative reviews of this part yet. They also offer a combo set for a great price.

I’ve treated all of the weatherstripping and seals with glycerin, and although the elastic straps appear to be still functioning correctly, I’ve sourced a replacement pair to have on hand when needed.

Do you happen to know what the torque spec is for the subframe bolts?

Thanks for the recommendations guys!

After doing some additional research, I think I’ll add cleaning the IAC and performing the idle relearn procedure to my list too.

92ft lbs IIRC you can go 100ft lbs with no problem.
