Default Diff Crush Washers

So, my local dealer doesn't stock the washers (gaskets) for the rear diff...

I was planning on taking care of it this weekend, but that isn't gonna happen. What's worse, is they charge like $3 for one, and $5 for the other :\

I see them online cheaper.

I found an OLD thread that linked this site: https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...p?Product=3241

But I'm not sure which washers are the ones I'd need...?

I know the part numbers, but not the sizes...

You can definitely use the fill bolt washer several times over, the previous owner of my car used the same washer for 9 years. The drain bolt washer could be re-used once without issue if you are in a bind, just flip it over.

That's what I was thinking too, but I just bought it this past weekend, and the previous owner didn't know when it was last done... or who did it...

So, I wanted to do everything 100% so I know when everything was done last.

Don't forget, always remove fill bolt first. If for some reason you get stuck trying to remove it, you don't wanna fund out after you already drained old fluid.

If you end up buying some online https://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000-03maint.html is very fair.

I've forgotten to buy them before, and had to reuse old ones. I've gotten away with just re-using one without doing anything, but there could be a small risk of leaking. If you want to go OCD about it, you can hold it to a propane torch until its beginning to glow, annealing it in seconds. Now it'll be soft again and deform easily when you reuse it! Bonus OCD points if you sand/file it flat before putting it on.

Yeah, I've reused them a few times too, but I just bought this car a week ago, and want to do everything new so I know. Previous owner doesn't know that info.

I ended up finding the washers at a dealer about 30 minutes away. Gonna roll out there tomorrow and get a few

What? You're supposed to replace those???

JK

But, seriously, i've reused all of my crush washers 3-4x before replacing, including the one for the oil pan... Bad practice? Yes. Risky? probably. Problems/leaks? none so far.

Fill bolt washer = P/N 90402-PCZ-003
