Default Diff and Trans Fluids?

I was looking for a good transmition fluid, and yes yes, i know the whole arguement back and forth about honda fluids, and others... i need something to help with shifting when i start up, its been cold as anything last couple weeks, and since i got the car i have never changed the trans fluid. Also, my diff needs to be changed aswell because when i got it changed at jiffy lube, they didnt tighten the bottom bolt well, and when i got home i saw it dripping so i tightened it and havent really driven it since.

So which Synchromesh is the best choice for a good smooth shift? i have always had good results in other cars with Penzoil, but i know our trans are a little different, also how much will i need for the trans?

i just need to verify diff fluid weights lol i think its 75w90

thanks

Use GM Synchromesh Friction Modified. It is much more expensive than standard synchromesh, but with it, shifts are amazing at cold starts and autocross temps. You can really feel the synchros working faster. Use Amsoil 75w110 diff fluid. According to a few forum members it is an excellent formulation.

ill get that next change, i have some penzoil on the way up here for pickup, i live wayyyyy away from all the dealerships... i will look at the 75w110 weight fluids tho. the advanced and napas didnt have the penzoil, napa had 3 quarts brought from columbia up here. and honda dealership was trying to sell me some 10w20 crap and told me i needed 3 quarts of it for a fill. wtf? i told him he was a moron and hung up. my 2002 only uses 1.7 quarts, and im not putting a 20 weight in my trans.

i thought GM didnt make the friction modified anymore?

Number one on your list. I found it was still quite notchy when cold. Hondas MTF2 seems to work best overall I change it once a year 14-16 bucks its cheap and works good for 5k or so.
