Can anyone give me an approx figure of the weight of the diff ?

I am assuming that a nissan diff would be roughly the same weight, A maximum of 90lbs.

The niss diff will be lighter than 90lbs if you drain the oil

trip, stop panicing about the diff mate
just buy a JDM S13 diff and 2 cv's

I will have a solution for you shortly. My project is held up atm because of the coming V8 racing (clipsal), which has been occupying the laser milling machine.

I weighted my diff incuding the axle which comes from the gearbos it is 83 lbs

a s2k diff is around 30kg
a s13 diff is around 35kg
