They are 2 completely different engines, both made by Honda.

lol. yes. and one is designed to pair with a RWD tranny and the other FWD. it would not be a straight forward swap; whatever you are thinking of doing..

both great motors tho!

i know one is designed for FWD and the other is for RWD. just wondering if they where design somewhat alike. Im not looking to swap it into any cars just wondering the difference in the motors. Because these stupid ricer kids are trying to say they are the same and I was wondering if i was right by saying they are both completely different motors

Well, one of the things that come to mind is that the K20 has an VTC unit in addition to VTEC. Also, the k20 is of an "square" design (bore and stroke 86 x 86). To say they are the same is just ignorance... dun worry about those ricers, lol.

How much NA power can you get out of the K20 though? Can you make more power out of it than an f20 or f22? Hear they respond much better to mods, but also start with less power.

it seems to take better to mods..but it may be because of the huge aftermarket for those motors compared to the s

alot more time going into them

The k20's limitation seems to be the head. The s2k head outflows it by wide margins. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I few people on the clubrsx forums are tuning into the high 200whp range NA. The k20 motors have good potential. IMO they're the best series of motor Honda has released to date.
