Default Differential Swap

Knowing that the s2k's differential is very weak, is there a possible swap to a stronger one out there, rather than using the comptech one? A subauru owner stated that form 94-2000 the differentials in their cars were sourced from Nissan, so they could swap other nissan differentials into their cars. Is this true with the s2k's? Could we swap other Honda differentials into our cars, or from any other car? If this sounds really stupid, I'm sorry, I really don't know. Thanks

Jason

If you could find such a thing. The only other current RWD Honda would be the NSX but since it's a mid-engine car it doesn't have an LSD. So, pretty much the S2000 would be the only production Honda with an LSD. As for complete rear ends, there has always been the belief that an RX7 rear end could be fabricated to fit the S2000...but no one has tried it yet.

Someone has stated that the Mazda makes the ring and pinion gears so if that is true maybe there are some options there.

I have a set of 3.6 ring and pinion gears from a Miata if someone has a set of S2000 gears out we could compare.
