Differential vs oil
Hi,
can the wrong oil specify in the differential cause the brake of gear and the "pear" for only 2kms? I sold the differential to one guy, the diff was new assembly and full trock without oil. He used 80W90 with norm GL4 (mineral). Honda recommend the GL-5/GL-6 (hypoid).
Or where can be the problem? Bad gears clearence?
Thanks and sorry for my english

GL4 fluids lack the ability to protect against the extremely high pressure generated by sliding/rolling hypoid gears under heavy load. I don't know if it would lead to massive damage after only 2km, but it is definitely NOT GOOD for our differentials.
