DIY "Gunmetal" H Badges
Well this all happened by accident, as do many DIYs.
I had gotten an extra set of H badges to play with some different color's to see what would look best on the car. Tried glossy black which sucked. Tried flat black which sucked. So then after pulling all the paint back off and sanding the badges down with some 400 grit I found out that they had a nice gunmetal coloring with the brushed aluminum look from the sandpaper.
Here are some pics, it's really hard to see by itself so that is why I have placed the stock chrome emblem next to it. Look's pretty good on the Sebring, although I still haven't decided if I will keep it or not, for now it stays on.
Long story short
Sand your stock badges with 400 grit sandpaper and they will become gunmetal as the bright chrome finish wears off.
Make sure to sand in the same direction so you get uniform scratches, random scratches would not look very good IMO.
