DIY resetting key to immobilizer

Default DIY resetting key to immobilizer

is there anyway to reset the immobilizer to the keys yourself?

That would leave thieves with a way to do it. You have to go to the dealer and show proof you are in physical possession of the car.

i'm not aware of any other way to program a key to the ecu without a Honda HDS or Tablet

Your keys and the car had to be taken to the dealer to be reprogramed. It take the Honda PCM tool to program the keys into the ECU. Sorry no DIY.

ok just wondering.. because i bought an ecu and not just trying to figure out how to start the car. i have the other key, but they transmit both signals and causes the engine not to start.

You can have your key cut on a plain blank key, then tape the key for the ecu next to the ignition.

Probably your best bet if you do not go to the dealer.

I think they're giving the "cheap" route if you didnt want to spend the money to have it programmed

alright, i am probably not going to cheap this on out. it will cost about $85 to reset all my keys. so might as well. thanks anyways you guys, some should shut this down, i dont think this will help anyone in the future. LOL
