Does the VAFC have to be dyno tuned to work right?
I am getting a VAFC but not sure about tuning it. Does it need to be tuned on a dyno or can I use the settings posted in previous forums?
Does it need to be tuned again after every mod or if so what type of mods?

You can run a V-AFC with blank settings as long as you follow the set up instructions correctly, but you will get no gain.
You can lean out progressively from about 4K onwards as that's all the settings usually end up being. But if you've spent $4-500 on the V-AFC spend the extra $100 on the dyno time and get your moneys worth.

4-5 HP seems low as a peak gain with VAFC even on a stock car. It seems the 00-01 models stock get better returns than that. I gained way more than that peak and over10 hp across the board with my S/C application. Put in in perspective-even if this gave you only 5HP for $500, that is $1700 less than the 5 HP you don't get from the Amuse dual Titanium exhaust and other expensive exhausts, for example!! The VAFC is also the stepping stone needed to get the most out of future mods you may have in store. Pt
