The Dollar bill exhaust test
Ill be getting a valve adjustment on Saturday at the Honda dealer. i have an 06 with 48k miles and there was only one owner before me who i think never got a valve adjustment. Im an old school mechanic, but this is my 2nd s2000 lol. Being an 06, and reading billmans sticky, i was concerned of burned exhaust valves.
My question is, does the dollar bill over the exhaust test apply to our cars? For those who dont know, it was how we used to diagnose burned exhaust valves on older cars. I did it, and my dollar bill was being really erratic and was being somewhat sucked in by the exhaust. It wasnt like a vacuum, but it definitely wasnt just being pushed away from the outlet. Is this normal? Never tried on my old ap1..
Will out of spec valves cause this if its not normal? Other than a low rpm bog (i do have a thread on that here), the car runs like its brand new. No cels, misfires, nothing. Just smelly a/c haha. Sorry if this sounds weird, like i said, im old school with high tech toys lol.
