So let me start off by saying over the past few weeks while driving my door ajar light would come on while driving with obviously both doors properly shut. It stayed on for a bit then went out. Then I had at least a weeks driving time with no problems. Then one day again I was driving and hit a big bump and viola the door ajar light comes on. Checked the switch on the drivers side and its fine because the chime for the keys left in the ignition and lights on reminder still work when you open the door and turn off when you close the door. Also tried checking the passenger switch and shorted the wire to ground with the other door closed and still no luck. I noticed though when I put the car in reverse the door ajar light goes out?

What kinda problem am I having? Anyone have any idea where to look? Its also hindering me from remotely locking my car and I have to physically lock the doors each time.

Did the car have any body damage prior?
You need to look on the wiring diagrams and find where your reverse lights harness runs next to the door sensor's harness,...go from there...

You'll get a lot more help if you use a descriptive title. "Weird problem Help" doesn't really attract the punters who have had electrical problems.
