Default Driver side seat belt issues

PLEASE HELP!!!
I just got done replacing the rear window on my s2000. Everything wnet very smooth, UNTIL... I attempted to put the drivers side roll hope back on. The seat belt will not "de-tension." If someone has experience with this or someone w/ the service manual can help, please do so. I'm desperate!!!

Are you saying that the seat belt is fully retracted and is locked and you can't pull it out? If so, then you have somehow managed to make it think that you are in a crash and it has locked itself. You must try to feed some of the belt back into the retractor to get the mechanism to "let go". You may have to unbolt it from the floor so you can shove the belt in even a part of an inch.

The good nes is that yes, that is what the problem is. the bad news is that didn't help. Now, everything is even tighter.

Giving the belt more slack didn't fix it?! That sucks! What did you do in that area of the car? It sounds to me like you will need to disassemble that area again to make sure nothing is pushing on the pendulum.

I was replaceing the rear window (cracked in cold) and one of the intructions is to take out the roll hoops. I put the passenger side in no problm, but the drivers just won't "detension." The hoop, plastic and seatbelt mechanism is stirring in my lap right now, in my house.

Is there not an electrical connector that goes onto the retractor? If so, it may need power to unlock. I'm not sure about this. Just grabbing at straws now.

I wasn't aware that there was a power connector on the mechanism, but if there is, it probably has something to do with the receiver. Is the seat belt reciever connector also plugged in that is under the driver's seat? The power may only be applied to the retractor if that connector is plugged in.
