Default drivers side window?

curious if anyone else has this issue or if its common. when i drop the top on the S my driver side window only rolls down about 3 inches and stops. passenger goes all the way down. i have to use the switch to roll the window the rest of the way down. any input would be helpful, thanks.

Quite common problem on the earlier cars. You can search on things like "auto down reset" but there's conflicting evidence as to whether it works. You can spend money fixing it, or just lower the driver's side window using the switch in the door. It's up to you.

I did this reset thing years ago. It actually worked great and its been good ever since.

Has do do with the top module learning the full up/down positions of the window.
