I personally don't like the idea of DRL on cars; its takes away the one safety advantage that motorcycles had over cars. Now, motorcycles are beginning to just blend in again with the rest of traffic.

Any news on this? Picked up my car last night and the DRLs are already starting to annoy me.

Did anyone ever figure out how to do this the right way? I noticed that the DRL dash light only comes on after taking the parking brake off for the first time after starting the car. Is there a switch in there????

What about putting a small piece of electrical tape over the dash indicator?

Other than a piece of electrical tape you can't do anything about that light.

I've had my DRL's disabled for 2 years now and I don't even notice the DRL indicator being lit up anymore.

I don't like the DRL's either. I really get annoyed when there is a taller vehicle (SUV) behind me with DRL's pointed directly at my review mirror. If I dim the mirror, I can't see the other cars. If I don't, the DRL's from behind are very distracting.

I'd like to know how people are disbaling the DRL's and avoiding the dash light.

I don't think anyone has indicated they have.

I just finished taking the bulb out of the instrument cluster. It took about an hour. Lights Gone literally now!

Okay, I finally decided to remove the bulb. It took me about an hour but its out now. I removed the instrument cluster. The bulbs are all on the back of the cluster. You just have to twist the socket out, yank the bulb and put the socket back in.

No more DRL dash light. :-)

Oh so there is an actual bulb for that? I would have thought it was LCD like the rest of the cluster.

I guess I'll remove mine over the winter
