Dumb question

Typically a tct will start to rattle at startup. It'll eventually start to rattle at idle. I'd suggest adjusting the valves if you replaced retainers first. Report back after that.

Changing retainers will not affect the valve adjustment at all. Unless you changed cams, or rockers, or disturbed the adjuster nuts, valve adjustment is not your noise.

Yeah I didn't think it was the adjustment. Honestley I've been driving a early 2000 Hyundai accent gt. Lol. And I've been use to super quiet ness. Maybe it's just a placebo a effect. It was 2am in the morning when I was trying to adjust the intake side valves and maybe I messed up one. I know all of nuts are tight though. I just need to get back in there and re do them. Intake side is .008 and exhaust is .010 correct?
