I will be dynoing my car on Tuesday with the new Supersprint Exhaust. I would get the most accurate hp/tq reading in 4th gear right?? I did three pulls on the dyno yesterday stock and here are the baseling figures(stock):

Run 001: 205.5 max power 138.1 max torque
Run 002: 206.0 max power 137.5 max torque
Run 003: 208.3 max power 138.4 max torque

To me these numbers seem high for a stock S2000. I was figuring on at least 20% drivetrain loss and not 13%. Have any of you encountered this?? Am I supposed to use another gear other than 4th to do the pull??

Yes, but valid comparisons can only be made with same dyno, day, and operator / technique runs. Peak numbers by themselves are not really meaningful since even corrected measurements can vary so much between machines.

 

Well, after dynoing with the exhaust, here are the results.

The hp gain with the exhaust was 1 hp and 2 lbs peak to peak. We did see a 3 hp imporvement between 6k and 7k. I will post accurate peak to tpeak figures this evening.
