I'm sure he'll be replacing the rear soon enough.

OK, first of all I did all of the tuning. Yes I did have some issues at first, mainly because the S2000 doesn't have a distributor and therefore it was difficult to figure out the base timing on the car. Once that was determined everything was pretty smooth from there. Contact me for more information.

Second, Mike Simon built my motor, he is selling built motors to customers now. A couple other people on the board are getting their motors from him (I don't know if I am allowed to say who!!! Sorry!) Contact me for more info.

Third, the differential is holding up fine so far. Basically I have never dropped the clutch with this differential (this is my second stock diff) and it's been working fine. I have a Kaaz differential in my garage now and I do expect that I will have to do something one day, but I will deal with it once it comes.

I am still using the turbo that comes on the Speedcraft kit, however I will be doing some changes sooner or later.. Hell, with all these people getting EZ-Pass after I spent over a year getting to where I am now I gotta keep the (one of the?) most powerful S2000s award.. at least on pump gas anyways..

How much are these Motors going for? Is it an exhange type of deal or do you get a whole new motor?

It's a core exchange I believe. I am not sure what his pricing is exactly but if you want more information contact me and I will give you his number.

Thanks

It is open deck, and I anticipate that I could run alot more boost on it(over 30psi with out a problem) so prepare your "oh dear god"'s for alot of usage.

It was sleeved and o-ringed by Benson using ductile iron.

Chris

PS- I am using intake springs on the exhaust side, that's my only valve spring modification.

bensons does very nice work. That was who sleeved my last block. The full metal jacket sleeves look REAL nice and held 2 bar on my old honda.

Did you keep the Web Cams or junk them?
I've always wondered if they're good cams...

Did you change out your valvetrain (besides you use
intake springs on the exhaust side) like valves/springs/retainers?

Thanks..

I am using oversized valves on the intake side, therefore I had to replace them. The exhaust side is still using the stock valves. As you said, I am using intake springs on the exhaust side.

Web Cam contacted the shop that I ordered the cams though. Apparently another customer wanted a set for their car. They wanted to know how the cams worked in my car. We told them they were pitted, and they asked us to send them back. At this point they havent gone back. I expect that they will give me some sort of refund.....

Anyways, I don't want to bad mouth them because I am sure they know more about cams than I do... However in the future I probably will only go with mass consumption cams like Toda, or Spoon (since apparently these are becoming available...)

I have no plans on changing my cams at this point. I don't believe it is necessary for forced induction. The stock non VTEC cam makes tons of power/torque, and the VTEC cam seems to be agressive enough. The way my motor is setup I can gey more power by changing fuel and turning a knob so no need to open the engine back up.....

Chris, what is the advantage of putting intake springs on the exhaust side?
