Several clips is all you need to remove. The ECU is located on the drivers side under the dash.

take off the plastic piece by the drivers seat on the floor. The one that says S2000, made by honda motor co ltd. just grab it and yank up on it, it has 3 white tabs that hold it on. then pop your hood. then on the kick panel wher eyou just popped your hood, there is a plastic clip way up in the front of it by the clutch petal. just yank on it hard and it'll come out. then you can swing the kick panel out of the way, or take off the little while clip holding it in under the windsheild rubber and then set it aside. behind the kick panel you will see a grey box with dozens of wires going into it. that is the ECU.

I suggest you take off the driver seat. It helped a great deal and it was easy to take off. Mind dont scratch the paint. Gives you alot of room to work around in.

I just changed mine out a few minutes ago. Absolutely no need to remove the seat. Lay across it with your arm beyond as you duck under the steering wheel and it's right there. A couple of years ago I timed it at 12 minutes to R & R the ECU. Today took about 6 minutes. Go for it.

There are two screws on the bottom corners holding the ecu. You need only to loosen the screw on the bottom towards the front of the car and remove the other. The places for the screws on the ecu are slotted, so the ecu you can slip the ecu from the front screw when only loosened. Makes reinstallation easier.
