Default Easy X-Brace install question...

Actually, two of them.

First, what size socket do I need for this job?

Second, is it possible to do with the factory jack? I'm going to have to drive all the way over to my parents if I need ramps/jack stands.

Picking one up this afternoon and might want to install it tonight.

Thanks!

I had to use a big Allen wrench for the Spoon X-Brace. And jacking the car up with the stock jack is pretty dangerous...

Haha... you are everywhere on the forums, aren't you?

Oh well... tomorrow I'll wake up early and take care of it. Unless I can steal my dad's jackstands without him noticing.

To install the cusco U brace, I used (if I remember right) 15mm socket and a 12mm socket both with extensions. Its not hard at all really.

I would never get under a car that wasn't supported by jack stands.

What do you guys think of ramps? I have a set that are supposed to be good for something like 2000 or 2500lbs each.

Unless you are only 4" thick

You can use the OEM jack, just buy a cheap set of stands (15-20).
