EDFC smoking

Default EDFC smoking
my edfc started smoking on me while i was driving and the rear damper section said "EL" or something, i took it out of my console right when it started to smoke. any clues to what my have caused it? thanks

Sounds like it overheated. Did you have it flush mounted behind the cupholder?

if it still works you got lucky. If it doesn't, Call Tein to see if they need to mounted in a place with more airflow.
