Default Engine Bay Cable Help

Hi all,

This is my first post in this forum so I apologize in advance if some rules are broken

I just got my first AP1 a few days ago, and whilst changing the engine oil for the first time,
I noticed this cable dangling. I have no idea what or where its meant to be hooked up to.
If you could help out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

is it for a gauge or is it the actual stock wire that you need to put on?
I cant seem to find any references on the internet as where it is supposed to be put.
Have you got a photo as to where its meant to go?

Thanks in advance.

It sits just above the oil filter, here is a picture for you

Looks like someone has tapped in to it before.

Do I need to put it back on?
It seems like its for a gauge or some aftermarket stuff?
Yours has a thick rubber thing covering it.
I assume the thing thats dangling on mine (loose wire) is inside the rubber thing (your image).

It's a factory wire for the dash oil light. Not a gauge.

The red clip on connector is aftermarket and can be taken off.
