Default Engine bay clean up

What is this called 'coz I noticed that AP2 do not have this part? I'm in the process of cleaning up my engine bay and came across this. The tiny air tube travels across the engine bay and back to the manifold next to it. Would bypassing it and plugging it directly to the intake manifold right next to it cause any problem?

Thanks!

That is your Air Pump. It is required for the AP1 unless you have a modified car. I would not suggest modifying this in any way.

It's actually the EGR valve...but it is part of the air pump system (the actual air pump is below the driver's headlight). Only the MY06+ cars do not have it. MY00-05 have an EGR valve.

If you prevent it from working you will throw a CEL code.

i dont think its worth removing any stock hoses unless you are serious about racing or making a show car. it will give you no gain and mostly problems later.

i know most people want to remove any unnessacary items for a clean look , but the trouble of going through it is not worth it unless its a racecar or show queen.

just add carbon fiber to draw attention away from it. =]
or if youre a poor s owner like me, just go throw your car around some corners and you will forget about whats under the hood besides that f20 at 9000 =]

just my .02

I have block off plates for that if you do end up getting rid of it.

That's the secondary air valve assembly. Is that the same as an EGR valve?

ACV Air control valve is like an EGR...
You must go stand alone EMS to bypass the air-pump system or you will get a CEL.

We make the plate or block off for it as do others
