MY ETD didn't come with any rubber parts. The Body side bracket is also different, with no fuse box bracket. It looks like you received a RHD ETD not a LHD one.

I bought my J's ETD used and there were no rubber parts with it. I sold off the heat shield and STB that came with it. I made my own mountig brackit because I did not want to remove the fuse box mounting tab or have rubbing issues with the A/C lines. I still have to make a hole in the factory heat shield for it;
Ustemuf, what did you use to make the hole in your heat shield, looks like you did a nice neat job

a 2 inch holesaw.. i didnt have any idea where the thing was going to end up.. i just found some old pics on this forum and guesstimated the position with my eyeballs and having the heatshield held up in front of my computer screen to compare.. i probably coulda used a smaller hole but i didnt want to have to cut it twice you should be able to see where it goes now on the heatshield cause i posted some much clearer pictures of the location than what i saw.

i did not receive any rubber parts with my ETD either, but i bought it used.

The rubber pieces can go inside the ETD.

If you open it up it has two plastic "bushing" type pieces that a metal rod slides through. The dampening action is created by friction and not by resistance of oil or anything. You can replace the plastic bushings with the rubber ones to change the dampening characteristics

Those rubber parts goes inside the damper, maybe you have a set inside, the rubbers may need to be changed after 30.000 mlies, that is accoing to NRG dampers, which I had.

with the NRG I got 2 types of rubbers, strong, red, and medium soft, black.

Ok I got J's ETD and it looks pretty straight forward but...

1. What are the two rubbers that come in the box? (I'll post a pic later)
2. Does it matter which way the cylinder is facing?
3. Do I need to do anything with all those adjusters on the cylinder?
4. Torque for the engine braket bolt?

Thanks!
1- The ETD that we supplied never come with any rubber pieces.

2- I mean cylinder, you meaning the torque damper, correct ? If thats correct then it will not matter whichever way you put it.

3- you have to adjust it to the correct length where you can fit the damper.

4- the one to the cylinder head is 25 lbs and the 10mm are all 10 lbs.

Did you get this new or used ?
