My 2006 S2000 suddenly started to hesitate then surge at all speeds except hard acceleration. Feels as though I am driving into a gusty headwind. The check engine light has not come on. Also using cruise control seems to negate the issue. It has briefly stopped doing this several times after filling it up with gas but not always. Any thoughts on what may be going on?

 

Sounds like engine bog. Try to use a different gas station like Esso or Shell. Since you stated that it stops after filling up seems like its an issue with the gas that youre using. Also, try to dump in some fuel injection cleaner during your next fuel fill up

 

Thanks for the suggestions. I have either used 76 or Shell gas after it started happening. Also I did use a fuel line cleaner from Oil Can Henry. Don't know if it was for fuel injectors specifically or not. Still lurching along.
