Default Engine knock help needed

I posted 2 videos to Youtube and I hope you can hear them well enough to help me. The noise is inconsistent most of the time. Usually only at idle or under acceleration. It happened as I was driving to work and at one point hit about 7k RPM. Engine oil was good and has never been run low. Thanks for your help.

Definitely not TCT. IDK if that is rod knock either though, it almost sounds like something on the top end. In either case I would avoid driving it or really running it until you get it figured out, that isn't a good sound.

That could be the tensioner pulley too especially if running the AC changes things.

Pulled the belt off and started it up. Knock was still there.

I would say to quit running the engine but given the amount you have already run it the crank journal is probably toast regardless. I think you are past the point of being able to change out bearings. Only experience I have had thus far is one bearing spun, but I think if it knocks at idle speed, you are done. If you can catch it where it is barely knocking at a specific RPM range then you stand a chance.

....
Pull the oil filter and cut it open to examine for metal pieces. If the bearing has spun there will be a ton of shit in the filter. I would use a set of snips or diagonal cutters and snip it open unless you have an actual tool for cutting the filter open. Any type of saw is going to leave a ton of shavings everywhere. Once you have the filter open and you cut the media out cut it in half, stack up one half like you are closing an accordion, wrap it in a paper towel, and compress it in a vise/c clamp/vise grips/etc. That will squish the oil out so you can look at the media. In you situation, I think you will know as soon as you cut it open though.

Also, try disconnecting fuel injectors one by one to see if you can manipulate the knock.

Lastly, pull the oil pan and examine.

....

My plan if I ever have another engine failure is to just buy an OEM shortblock from Honda.

Have you checked the valve clearance? extremely loose valves can make that noise. While you pull the valve cover see if anything else is loose.

Free revving the engine like that likely destroyed the crankshaft, never ever free rev an engine not even a quiet one.

A spun bearing can be easily saved if you drive easy immediately after the spin.

Very likely a low end knock (conn rod or piston)

So am I looking at a possible total rebuild? How much can I expect that to cost me approximately?

I can understand not doing it with an engine that has a bad bearing, but why not a healthy one? I am not suggesting revving the piss out of it, but on occasion trying to listen for a noise or something shouldn't do any harm right?
