Engine knocking sound
I just recently purchased an s2000, I can not figure out what this knocking sound could be. I thought maybe you guys could help
when I turn the car on it makes the knocking sound for a split second and then it idles normal. I have a video if you would like to check out, its my car revving to around 2k and when the throttle is released it makes the knocking sound. I don't know if it is a spun bearing or what. What do you guys think it might be?I need help...

i took a look the the TCT and it looked pretty new, so i figured id take down the oil pan and look...... i found metal shrapnel
. my uncle (who is a mechanic) came over and checked it out. he said the connecting rod bearings and crank shaft are bad.

Would explain why the tensioner wasnt holding oil pressure. Have you took the rod caps off yet? Might be able to slap new bearings in and cross your fingers. But usually it either damages the crank or connecting rod so it might fix it but not for long. But most likely your going to pulling that motor. Sorry bro :/ Got pics of the metal for us sick individuals to see?
