Default Engine knocking sound

I just recently purchased an s2000, I can not figure out what this knocking sound could be. I thought maybe you guys could help when I turn the car on it makes the knocking sound for a split second and then it idles normal. I have a video if you would like to check out, its my car revving to around 2k and when the throttle is released it makes the knocking sound. I don't know if it is a spun bearing or what. What do you guys think it might be?I need help...

It sounds like a card in spokes to me. That would be the TCT. Known to go.

You could always send an oil sample over to blackstone labs to see how the motor is wearing as well.

Are you getting oil droplets from the exhaust?

i took a look the the TCT and it looked pretty new, so i figured id take down the oil pan and look...... i found metal shrapnel . my uncle (who is a mechanic) came over and checked it out. he said the connecting rod bearings and crank shaft are bad.

Would explain why the tensioner wasnt holding oil pressure. Have you took the rod caps off yet? Might be able to slap new bearings in and cross your fingers. But usually it either damages the crank or connecting rod so it might fix it but not for long. But most likely your going to pulling that motor. Sorry bro :/ Got pics of the metal for us sick individuals to see?

no i didn't get a chance to snap any pics... i threw everything back together. i'm going to have to let the car sit for a while until i save up enough money to rebuild it.
