Engine Light came on

Thumbs down Engine Light came on

Hello

I let the s warm up to 3 bars before I took it out...because of the snow. I took a turn and lost control but I recovered it. After about 1 mile I noticed the check engine light come on. I'm pretty sure I didn't see the light when I started the car.. I don

Go to autozone and let them scan for your code.

i went to autozone and my code is P0420 (catalyst efficiency below threshold Bank 1).

is this bad?

Your probably need a new cat, go to the dealership and have them fix it..


Is it really that hard to search the forums?

must be easy for you to be a dick though...


to the thread starter: you losing control probably doesnt have anything to do with it (unless you hit something from underneath), i'd take it to the dealer and see what they think...unless someone here have experienced with that certain code and can give you some insight

also be warn that your warranty may cover drivetrain ONLY and not emission related problems such as the catalytic converter.

Alright, things are heating up. it does indeed help to use the search function before opening a new thread. No need to be slinging the d... word around.

Anyway, warranty for the cat is 8 yrs or 80K miles. so leave the light on and take it to the dealer, they have to replace it

Mine came on twice, i cleared them both times and it hasnt come back yet so far. But when it does, i'll take it in and get a new one from the dealership

Emissions is covered 80k


Remove your head from your ass, gain a little knowledge, then come back and maybe you can get your facts straight.
