Default Engine Shakes

This happens in reverse. I don't know if this is an issue so I ask.

One in a while, in reverse, I would slip the clutch, slightly, and the RPM drop to 500 and the engine starts to shake and revves back up to 1000. The RPM drop and shaking start after I disengage the clutch so that makes it a little unsual. Does this ever happen to anyone?

Thanks,
Jason

why would you say it's in neutral when the OP clearly said it's in reverse...?

i have a similar problem also. when i start to go in reverse the car shakes alot and seems like it wants to stall wether i give it gas or not. (also have the clutch about half way engaged, would that be a problem?) also shakes sometimes when taking off normally in 1st...

scorched flywheel caused by the clutch going bad is my guess. But it's just a guess. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can diagnose it for you.
