engine shakes

Default engine shakes

alright fellas need some help......its been goin on for a while now. pretty much whenever i shut my engine off it shakes like a freakin diesel engine. runs fines when im driving, but when comes time to shut it off feels like a small earthquake lol........ any advice would be nice

you may put some bad gas in it.did you put regular in there by mistake?i would run a tank of premuim with a octain booster in it and see if the diesling stops.

nope been using premium 24/7

Probably a bad spark plug.

btw, using premium doesn't mean you won't get a tank or two of bad gas... It happens.

Plugs and valve adjust is something you would notice when driving, the car would drive like crap.

If the shake is only when you shut the car off, then its your motor mounts are broken. Change the mounts and then install an Engine torque damper and no more shakes.

but wouldnt there be movment also when car is on? car feels perfect driving no loss of torque or anything

Not if only one motor mount is broke. I had the same issue once before. One mount broke other was fine. Didn't even know and went to track and drove street etc. Installed ETD and thought the shake would go away when turning off the car. Then when replacing to stiffer motor mounts I found one was broke.

If your plugs were bad, then your car would run like crap and you said it ran fine, just shakes when shutting off. However if you feel that strongly about the plugs then change them too. I'm willing to bet it won't change the shaking when turning off your car.
