Engine sound and more problems
Hmmm, that is another option to consider. My problem is that most of the buys that I knew that had s2000s have moved on to other vehicles and I know of only two other s2000s in my area, but do not know who owns them, and they don't seem to frequent here on the forums, making it difficult to find someone to swap coil packs or injectors with. I pretty much am forced to throw parts at it because i've heard both sides of it being coil packs or injectors. I ordered some coil packs last night after some thought, but with my luck I'm sure i'll be need injectors as well, haha. I decided to go with coil packs first just because of a local friend here that owned an s2000 and had a similar problem that was coil packs.
Well, today I finally got another CEL and sure enough, the code moved from #3 to #1 where I swapped the coil. I'll have my coil packs here on Monday so that should take care of my problem if my troubleshooting is correct. I've never been so happy to get a CEL in my life!
I think you have a bent valve if your valves are correctly adjusted in the video.. (from the noise). have you ever over reved? Check your retainers and see if they are cracked, if so you could have a bent valve
btw yes, I saw the compression test, but with a slightly bent valve compression numbers can be normal, as over time the valve re-seats itself on the valve seat

They weren't adjusted correctly in the video. Never over revved, and there was no evidence of the valves having dropped in their seat any from cracked retainers. I have solved the sound issue, I was just trying to chase down the misfire problem. But thank you for the input!

I was having the same exact problem. My car sounds exactly like yours in the video. My question is: did you get rid of that noise when you adjusted your valves? I'm hoping I didn't bend a valve because mine sounds exactly like yours in the video. And I had a misfire to but after the new coil packs I put in it hasn't popped a code since. I also have a low idle issue. Hopefully my valves are causing this?
I believe Honda might not have let the engine cool down thoroughly because my valves were definitely out of spec. most not by much but two of them were quite loose. The noise has stopped. It's still a little louder than before any valve adjustment, but the first time the valves were quite tight, so a little noise after seems to be expected. My low idle and misfire have completely gone away with the installation of the new coil packs yesterday. I can't remember a time when the car drove so smooth! I honestly couldn't say if valves out of spec are causing a low idle. It's always possible I would think that the low idle could be from something completely separate from the coil packs. i.e.: IACV being dirty. I know mine was filthy when I cleaned mine.
