Road Rage
Thanks for the reply and not flaming me for the poor spelling and mis-terminology. That was my first post.
As for the "studder"I never really thought this was abnormal, I just wondered why.
If I understand correctly:
If the S2000 was designed without stabilizer shafts it is probably due to the 2 liter displacement and not for a performance gain.
Does anyone know what the score is on the S2000 engine mounts. Are these usually a really heavy rubber bushing at the four corners of the engine? For some reason I think I remember reading that they filled with gel or something on the S2000. Does anyone know?

Ok I just read the OEM engine mounts are "liquid-sealed", whatever that means. However Spoon Sports makes hard rubber replacements.
Spoon Sports say's

Engine/Transmission Mount Set : The mass-production, liquid-sealed engine mount has been changed to a real-rubber type, which offers higher hardness without a need for shape modification. The hardness of the mount has been changed from 55 to 70 the spring constant, from 6 to 14 kgf/mm. As a result of these changes, it has been possible to realize a sharp steering characteristic; furthermore, it has also been possible to almost eliminate unpleasant vibration in the idling-speed range, where this is often a reason for concern.

They make it sound as if stiffer mounts = smoother idle. Anyway seems like it would be pretty tough to just change them unless OEMs rotted out or something. Engine dampner would be nice though.

Road Rage, what is NVH?
