Default Engine Torque Damper

Just got a set, came with 2 black rubber insert (instead of one red one black as described).

Where do I put this rubber insert?

What will I experience in the drive after this is installed?

Reach out to s2kpuddydad...he may know more.

BTW...a pic of the bushings with the ETD would be helpful. And a link to the description with the red bushing.

Maybe we can help figure it out.

I take it, it didn't come with install instructions.

I think the engine torque damper just keeps the engine vibrations from shaking the rest of the car.

Wow this one looks so much more pratical and as all the others (j's, nrg' spoon). No relocation of the fuse box mounting tab or cutting through the heat shield.

Thanks for the pics.. I will post one with that rubber bushing..

Surprisingly even NRG webby does not show the bush as part of the package. The instruction was sketchy, black & white zerox, pics of Civic, Integra, etc, but no S2K.

Here's their site pic:

Hecash: Thanks for sharing that pic of your setup. very neat.

Of course i do.

The reason to my question was the drive feeling.. I heard from feedback that there will be knocking sound due to the damper enforcing opposite directional force. I hope the knocking is on the ETD and not driveline linked. Kinda that of coilover with pillow mount you know. The transfer of engine torque will be more prominent as the engine will be less flex.

The whole purpose of me having ETD in my bay is becoz i experience steering vibration whenever I drive into a left sweep/bend. This happens after installing my Fujita CAI, Berk header and Team Kunimitzu STB. My ride is JDM RHD.

The steering rod is damn close to the header, abt 8mm spacing. And the CAI is touching the STB and already caused a deep scrub on the soft Al surface. Recently I insert in a used hose (some oil hose, cut a section of it) into the STB and soften the contact surface between the 2. The vibration is less felt now.

If you look at hecash's pic, while throttling, the engine will flex to the left. The intake manifold being on the right (of the pic), will rise and hit the STB. The header which is lower and on the left, will flex to the left and touch steering rod (for RHD).

What i dun understand is on a left sweep, again from the pic of hecash, the body will roll anti-clockwise, thus lifting the STB on the right side upwards. With this action, there should not be any vibration on the STB. So could it be the steering rod and header banging? There are some scratch mark on the steering rod though.

so I hope the ETD will reduce the touching in any case.
