Default EPS and speedometer reading 0

As driving onto the highway today I was at WOT on the on ramp and my power steering went out, EPS light came on, and my speedometer read 0. Gas gauge, temp gauge, and tach worked fine. As I was getting off the highway I was moving the steering wheel back and forth and the power steering light went off, a few moments later my power steering kicked in again, and my speedometer started working again.

Odd...
Only thing I can think of is the yellow box.
Any ideas?

Whatever you are using to correct your speed from your gear swap stopped working. It could be a disconnected wire.

Jeff (Hardtopguy) installed it himself. I'll check it over later tonight.

With the ignition on the box's LED blinks red. Is this an indicator light?

I checked all the wiring, it's pretty simple and all are good connections. Just got in from a drive and it happened again on the way home. It threw a CEL and I just pulled it, P0500 vehicle speed sensor malfunction. The box has worked fine for almost a year so I doubt it is faulty.

Hmmmm....

Bad YB, or wiring. Try moving each one of the switches back and forth, one at a time. feel them out and make sure one of the switches is not hunting between settings.

So what was the fix for your problem? I am interested because this is EXACTLY what just happened to me today. I raised the car and checked the VSS connection, didn't look loose or dirty......hmmmmmmm.
I also checked the Yellow Jacket I have installed which has also been working flawlessly since I installed it almost a year ago, and the connections there seem fine as well, I will try moving the switches as recommended....
